The Lāčplēsis Garden Festival is set to transform Karosta with an action-packed programme of activities, including creative workshops, sports games, art and music performances, and hands-on encounters with the work and equipment of the police, armed forces, firefighters and other everyday city heroes. Liepāja 2027 is adding a contemporary layer to the festivities. Audiences will experience site-specific art performances that resonate with Karosta’s distinctive landscape and its raw, unconventional character.

The project will strengthen community cohesion in Karosta, recognise local activists and create a shared celebration where different generations of Liepāja residents can come together through values, art and a strong sense of belonging.
