Liepāja is set to host the XIX Latvian Open Winter Swimming Championship, which is also a stage of the International Winter Swimming Association (IWSA) World Cup. We invite brave swimmers from all over the world to gather at Liepāja's peaceful Beberliņi Lake to test their strength in the cold water and compete for the title of the best in various disciplines.

The championship will take place on November 20th and 21st in a specially designed six-lane pool in the northern part of Beberliņi Lake (Lībiešu iela 8, Liepāja). Participants will compete in various distances, from the 25-meter freestyle to endurance swims of up to 450 meters. For those who want to enjoy the fun of winter swimming without the pressure of competition, public-class distances without time control are also available.
