Musicians Radio Trapani and Anton Sconosciuto have joined forces in a new project where indie, electronic, and folk elements meet.
Their sound balances between modern indie-pop aesthetics and more experimental music, drawing inspiration from artists such as Gorillaz, Dirty Projectors, Mac DeMarco, and Frank Ocean.
In their lyrics, the musicians touch on contemporary themes — from pollution and rising living costs to relationships and lonely summer landscapes.
Special attention in this project is given to sonic nuances, timbre, and atmosphere.
Radio Trapani is the alter ego of Amsterdam-based Italian guitarist and songwriter Dario Trapani. His music combines refined indie-pop with jazz influences, catchy melodies, and slightly melancholic, sometimes ironic lyrics.
Anton Sconosciuto is a London-born drummer and composer who currently lives in Rome. As a drummer, he has performed at numerous festivals across Europe and the United States, including SXSW, Reeperbahn Festival, and New Colossus Festival. His musical influences range from the sounds of the 1960s and 1970s to contemporary indie and alternative folk.
At the concert at Pegaza Pagalms you will hear this unique collaboration live — atmospheric, melodic, and stylistically multilayered.
See you on August 21st. The concert starts at 20:00. Free entry.
The free concert series “Vasara = Liepājā” is supported by funding from the project competition of the Liepāja Culture Administration.
