From 27 July to 13 August, the cultural venue Pegaza Pagalms in Liepāja will host the travelling charity art exhibition "Art That Helps" – an initiative that demonstrates how art can do more than inspire; it can make a tangible difference in people's lives.

The exhibition invites visitors to become part of a meaningful charitable initiative supporting children who face hospital stays without the comfort of having someone by their side. Alongside viewing the artworks, visitors will have the opportunity to participate in an art auction and make donations to the charity initiative "Lielas rūpes par mazajiem" ("Big Care for Little Ones").

At the conclusion of the exhibition, the artworks will be transferred to their new owners, while 90% of the auction proceeds will be donated to the charity. The initiative provides trained support companions for children in hospitals, helping them feel safe, cared for and emotionally supported during difficult moments.

Before arriving in Liepāja, the exhibition attracted significant public interest at the Ogre Culture Centre and is currently on display at the Spice Shopping Centre in Riga. Its next stop at Pegaza Pagalms offers both locals and visitors an opportunity to discover artworks with a meaningful social purpose.
