On June 13, 2026, the "Courage Coliseum" will take place on the Liepāja beach near the lifeguard station - an adrenaline-filled obstacle race where physical endurance meets mental strength. The event is organized by the "Courage Agency" association, which aims to popularize a healthy lifestyle, fitness and running culture, while providing participants and spectators with positive emotions and a sense of community.
The track is a 400-meter-long oval distance in a beach environment, saturated with 7 to 14 different obstacles - wooden barrier walls, rope nets, car tires, etc. Each participant will have two chances on the track, and the times of both starts will be added up to the total result. The four best will be nominated for the final, where they will fight for the prize places in one decisive race. The maximum time for each distance is 5 minutes - which means that speed and focus are as important as strength.
Anyone who has reached the age of majority, from 14 years old with parental permission, can participate in the event — both experienced athletes and those who are trying the obstacle course for the first time. Participants start in men's, women's or team classes, the start is given by 2–3 people every two minutes, starting at 12:00. Registration is possible in advance at the website www.drosmesskrejiens.lv or on the day of the competition from 10:00. The participation fee is 15–30 EUR. The awarding of the winners is scheduled for 17:00 — awards and medals will be received by the top three in each class, a commemorative medal for each.
