From 21 to 25 April, “Sound Days” will be held at the RTU Liepāja Academy and the club “Kursa” – an annual international festival dedicated to sound art and experiments, which has been taking place in Liepāja since 2013.

24.04. Performance program “Different. Different.”, created in collaboration with the Lithuanian residency center “Kintai Arts”. The program will feature performances by participants of the Baltic sound artist residency program “Kintai. Kitaip.” Agita Reķe (LV), J Mo‘ong Santoso Pribadi (LT) and Kris Kuldkepp (EE), as well as Florian Tuercke (DE)’s acoustic string instrument project Longboardharp No. 5.

25.04. Closing concert of the festival with the participation of festival participants and guests. Andris Dzenītis aka "Woodpecker öö", Ernests Valts Circenis, Jia Liu (DE) and many others will perform.

The 2026 festival covers disciplines such as electroacoustic and experimental music, design, visual art, including sound, environmental and audiovisual art. The festival is organized by the RTU Liepāja Academy and the association “ASTE. Art, Science, Technology, Education”, in collaboration with artist and curator John Grzinich (US/EE) and the residency center MoKS, as well as the foundation “Liepāja 2027”, creating a branch of the festival program and thematic direction “Atmospheric Waves”, which will be continued in 2027, organizing an international sound art exhibition in the urban environment. “Atmospheric Waves” explores wind and waves both as materials for art.
