The duo ELPO – Amanda Bašmakova (Bash!) and Mārtiņš Makreckis (Makree) – introduced themselves at the end of 2023 with their debut EP “Rožu dārzs” (“Rose Garden”).

In 2025 and 2026, ELPO received a nomination for the new music industry award GAMMA in the category Electronic Dance Music Artist of the Year.

The duo’s sound blends Mārtiņš’s high-energy rhythms with lyrics performed through Amanda’s unique vocal style.

In February, ELPO’s debut album “Brīvību meklējot” (“Searching for Freedom”) was released. According to the duo, the album creates space for reflection on life, existential thoughts, the struggle with nihilism and cynicism, and the balance between dreams and reality.

In ELPO’s songs “Labākais laiks,” “Pipari uz mēles,” and “Lieli sapņi,” as well as in the track “Blakus,” with which the duo participated in this year’s national selection for Eurovision, electronic dance music is interwoven with personal stories and vibrant energy.
