Textile has long been a symbol for coziness. With its sensitive materiality, it provides a space not only with rich colors and textures, but emotional warmth as well. Apart from the functional roles of textile, it has proven its value and self-sufficiency as an important medium for art.

Art in public spaces is an essential prerequisite for communication, while textile also creates coziness. Therefore, the students and teachers of the Department of Textile Art at the Art Academy of Latvia have created the exhibition “Laika Pietura” (A Stop in Time) for the public space of the Concert Hall.
