From 27 July to 13 August\, the cultural venue Pegaza Pa galms in Liepāja will host the travelling charity art exhibition "Art That Helps" – an initiative that demonstrates how art can do more th an inspire\; it can make a tangible difference in people's lives.
\n\nThe exhibition invites visitors to become part of a meaningful charitable initiative supporting children who face hospital stays wi thout the comfort of having someone by their side. Alongside viewing the artworks\, visitors will have the opportunity to participate in a n art auction and make donations to the charity initiative "Lielas rū pes par mazajiem" ("Big Care for Little Ones").
\n\nAt the conc lusion of the exhibition\, the artworks will be transferred to their new owners\, while 90% of the auction proceeds will be donated to the charity. The initiative provides trained support companions for chil dren in hospitals\, helping them feel safe\, cared for and emotionall y supported during difficult moments.
\n\nBefore arriving in Li
epāja\, the exhibition attracted significant public interest at the O
gre Culture Centre and is currently on display at the Spice Shopping
Centre in Riga. Its next stop at Pegaza Pagalms offers both locals an
d visitors an opportunity to discover artworks with a meaningful soci
al purpose.
