After a break of several years, on November 23, in Liepāja, at the "Beberliņi" recreation area, the XVII Latvian Open Winter Swimming Championship will take place in distances from 25 to 450 meters.
The winter swimming championship in the northern part of the Beberlini reservoir at Adventure Park "Tarzāns" (Lībiešu 8, Liepāja, in navigation - Liepājas Tarzāns or VeloRonis) in a specially created 5-lane pool will take place in eight basic disciplines: 25m breaststroke, 25m freestyle, 25m butterfly, 50m freestyle, 100m in the breaststroke, 200m and 450m freestyle, in the club mixed relay 4x25m, as well as in two additional disciplines - the distances of young seals and seals.
Anyone interested is invited to register for the championship on the website veloronis.lv, where the rules of the competition are also available. 200 participants can take part in the competition, once this number is reached, the acceptance of applications may be stopped. Online registration will last until November 18.
The competition is organized with the support of the municipality of Liepāja.
