In this free masterclass, participants will be able to explore how the layering of sounds is a vital aspect of sound design – both online and at Liepaja University Art Research Lab (MPLab). They will also be able to engage in practical exercises to expand their skill set.
Juan Hernandez is an audio engineer/music professional and digital archivist from Mexico City, Mexico. He has worked on a variety of projects for the Latin American music and film industry such as La Llorona (Golden Globes nominated, 2021), The Candidate (Netflix, 2019), Radical (Sundance Film Festival 2023, Festival Favorite Award) and Searching For Mexico (CNN, Emmy Awards nominated, 2023). Juan’s interests include music composition, the history of recorded sound and legacy formats, music technology and photography.
