“Listen to the Silence” by Beate Gjersvold

“Listen to the Silence” is an exhibition by Beate Gjersvold - Norwegian visual artist, art historian and Member of the Norwegian Artists’ Union.

Formerly devoted many years to art pedagogy at the Fine Art Academy in Trondheim and  NTNU, Department of Art and Media studies, now focuses only on her creative work at the Rotvoll Studios (Rotvoll Kunstnerkollektiv).

The paintings by Beate Gjersvold are never a representation of real places. They are never created in plain air and she never reproduces what she sees. Instead, Beate Gjersvold is getting inspiration from forms, colors and objects in the nature.

The artist has shown her creative work in solo and group exhibitions in a number of countries as: Norway, Sweden, Finland, Spain, France, Latvia, Lithuania, Italy and more.

The exhibition is created in cooperation with the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Riga.
