Artist and sculptor Ivars Drulle will open the second day of the Art Forum with a creative workshop for children and young adults. Through creative activities, he will encourage youth to reflect on topics like fake news and image manipulation. The creative process will be based on book and newspaper fragments and clippings – it will be an opportunity to try out the methods of image and information manipulation in practice.
“How to become a real beauty on a magazine cover? How are politicians trolled? How do I tell real news from fake ones? We will cut, paste and discuss together!” invite the creators of the workshop, the Latvian Centre for Contemporary Art.
Creative materials will be provided.
The event is free of admission, but participation must be booked in advance on the LAF website below.
Duration: approximately 1 hour
