Liepāja is just the place to inspire creative walks. One can be reminded that musicologist Orests Silabriedis encourages listening to each concert in Liepāja in a different special spot or street of the city (or even the tram). The performance walk River, created by choreographers Kristīne Brīniņa and Alise Putniņa, will be a journey through stories about the interaction between people, things and nature, sometimes fragile, unpredictable, bound by longing, trials and discoveries. The performance was inspired by personal stories of the inhabitants of Liepāja and its urban landscapes. The work impulse was caused by the idea of the impossibility of solitude because each of us is in a never-ending relationship with everything that surrounds us; even though we barely notice each other’s presence, we continue the endless flow of these relationships. The interactive walk will begin at the Liepāja concert hall Great Amber and conclude by the sea.
The event is free of admission, but participation must be booked in advance on the LAF website below.
