No pianist alive imbues the solo piano format with more explosive virtuosity or thrilling unpredictability than Hiromi – a GRAMMY-winning artist the All Music Guide calls “one of the most remarkable pianists of the past half century.” Having gained the fame of a prodigy child, Hiromi as a teenage girl was mentored by one of today's leading jazz pianists Chick Corea and performed together with leading European orchestras. She also had the opportunity to play with jazz piano legend Oscar Peterson and mentor Ahmad Jamal. Hiromi signed her first record deal before graduating from Boston’s Berklee College of Music.
Having a talent for blending a classical repertoire with jazz tradition and rock, she has released a dozen albums. The extravagant artist and composer will spend the spring of 2019 under the star of her new album "Solo" and will go on album’s World Tour. Hard to believe, but one of her stops is Great Amber Concert Hall in Liepaja.
